  • What are your business hours?

    SMV Rental department opening hours are from 8am until 5pm (Monday to Friday). Collection and drop off available on weekends by appointment. 

  • What contact details do i need to hire a vehicle?

    You will need to provide:

    • Your full name
    • Your home address
    • Contact numbers
    • Email address (for invoices)
    • Your occupation

  • Out of hours returns

    Currently, we do not have the facility for out-of-hours returns. Please return your vehicle during standard opening hours. 

  • Do I need to collect the vehicle?

    It is normal to collect the rental vehicle from our site in Yeovil. However, if you do require delivery and/or collection this is a service that is sometimes available upon request. 

  • Goods operator licence

    Goods operator licence required for any vehicle over 3.5tonne, when driving for business use. Our 18tonne vehicles cannot be driven on a standard UK driving licence.

  • Ultra Low Emissions Zone - London ULEZ

    The Ultra Low Emission Zone now operates in London 24 hours a day, seven days a week, every day of the year to improve the air quaility in London.  This covers the same area as the Congestion Charge.  Vehicles will need to meet the ULEZ emmision standards or their drivers will be charged a daily rate to drive with in this zone.  Please state at time of booking your vehicle, that you intend to drive with in the ULEZ area.
